Gentle Yoga for Pregnant Women Considered High Risk

If you are on bed-rest, or otherwise restricted because of a challenging pregnancy, a personalized, therapeutic yoga practice will allow you to enjoy your pregnant body and be more comfortable in it. It will maintain your mobility, flexibility, balance and strength as much as is possible. It will help reduce anxiety and enrich your spirit with optimism and peacefulness.

Prenatal yoga sessions can take place in your home, at your convenience. It may be on the mat, in a chair or even on your bed.

I am a yoga teacher and yoga therapist with over 25 years experience. I am Yoga Alliance certified with a 1,000 hour Yoga Therapy certification from Integrated Yoga Therapy (US). More importantly I have been designing programs and teaching yoga to pregnant women and new mothers as Co-Founder and Director of Baby & Me Fitness since 1987. I taught prenatal preparation courses at Women’s College Hospital for 17 years and have attended over 60 births as a doula.
