Yoga for Seniors
This class is designed for older adults ( 65+) who want to maintain and improve their strength, stamina, balance, and flexibility. A yoga practice is good for your heart, joints, muscles nerves, bones, and sleep.
In addition to improving physical health there are social and psychological benefits. Coming out to a yoga class builds one’s social network and reduces pain, stress and depression. Class can be done on the mat, or in a chair. Lots of modifications and alternatives are offered so everyone can make the practice their own.
